Our Purpose

The primary purpose of Clarbeston Road AFC is to provide facilities for, and promote participation of, the whole community in the sport of football. This is achieved by having teams at all mini and junior age groups from ages 5 to 16, providing opportunities for both girls and boys, and by also catering for adult male and female football. The community the club serves primarily covers a number of villages within a large rural area of north-east Pembrokeshire and the closest town, Haverfordwest. However, the club also has some participants drawn from a wider area. We have a Pan- Disability group, the Clarby Warriors specialising in the provision of football to disabled children and adults from across the county.

To achieve this purpose, the club has a group of qualified coaches (around 35 on average) who are provided with formal training and continuous ongoing revalidation and development in accordance with the requirements of the governing bodies for the sport, the Football association of Wales, the Welsh Football Trust, the West Wales Football Association and the Pembrokeshire League. Young coach and player development is a key part of the ethos of the club and young players are encouraged to develop coaching skills and run junior teams as part of developing their vocational skills and as part of schemes such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
